·Aiguille du Midi cable car to 3,842 m is a must even if you don't ski — the views alone are worth it.
·Skiing is split across 5 separate areas; Grands Montets is the steepest, Le Tour the most beginner-friendly.
·Stay in Argentière (5 km up-valley) for cheaper lodging and direct access to Grands Montets.
