1. Who we are

Ski Kavallerie is operated by Ski Kavallerie UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Germany ("we", "us", "our"). We run the platform at ski-kavallerie.com — a digital ski club for skiers, hikers, and mountain bikers.

2. What data we collect

Account data: email address, display name, profile picture (if you sign in via Google).
Usage data: which locations you mark as visited or as favourites, sections you join.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, and referrer, collected automatically through our hosting provider.

3. How we use your data

To provide and operate the Ski Kavallerie service.
To send you transactional emails (magic links, membership confirmations).
To display personalised content such as your favourites and visited locations.
We do NOT sell your data to third parties.
We do NOT serve behavioural advertising.

4. Third-party services

Supabase (EU region): authentication, database, and file storage.
Resend: transactional email delivery.
Google Maps Platform: interactive map on the Places page.
Vercel: hosting and edge delivery.

Each provider processes data according to their own privacy policies and GDPR data processing agreements.

5. Cookies & local storage

We store a session cookie issued by Supabase to keep you logged in. We also store your dark/light mode preference in localStorage. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Data retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Usage logs are retained for up to 90 days for debugging purposes.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
Object to processing or request restriction of processing.
Data portability.
